Halloween is not really celebrated in italy, there are some kids who dress up and "trick or treat" really i just saw some going to markets and coming out with one tangerine or something. people don't really dress up either, and they defiantly don't carve pumpkins. Regardless we celebrated, Max, Antonio and I carved mini green pumpkins we found at the farmers market.
This is our mess
Jack-o-lanterns! (left is max's it is the mushroom from super-mario, and the one on the right is mine)
this is all 3 pumpkins (zucche) and me
No hesitation man
our costumes (i pretty much lent out my closet)
she was a cereal killer and medusa
Pepper pasta, and after we had pumpkin risotto, made fabulously by Eleonora
the whole dinner party
wine and balloons just what every party needs
max is making the propeller at the top of the hat spin with the hair dryer
the cake i made! it is an italian recipe i found with lemon and marscapone cheese for frosting (and nutella for the face) there is no food coloring anywhere in italy so i asked a bakery for some of there food coloring and the guy was so nice he gave me the bat and spiders and ghosts too as a gift for my cake!
And the dishes afterwords :(
A huge THANK YOU to Ornella and Hannah for cleaning our kitchen!
