Autumn

Autumn is here and I looooooove the colors it has brought with it

I had a visit from Taylor

Bologna

So I took a day trio to Bologna and hung out with a bunch of English people, by the end of the day I wanted to talk in an accent
We got into a museum for free that isn't free shhh ;)

the most comfortable bench you will ever sit in
Just a part of the most popular fountain in Bologna
Bologna is the city of towers and this tower we chose to climb (the taller one)
 there are about 500 steps
Local folklore says if you climb this tower you will not graduate, luckily i have also entered cafe perdrocchi in padova which apparently has the same folklore, so they cancel each other out, and i will graduate
Hannah at the top of the tower
 thug life
 these guys were really good!
and this kid really enjoyed their playing
The fountain of Neptune, interesting fact about this fountain, originally the artist was very generous with the size of neptunes male parts, but the church didn't like this so they made them change it, the artist didn't like this so if you stand at certain angles the finger of neptune appears to be the penis of neptune at a size the artist prefers

Halloween

Halloween is not really celebrated in italy, there are some kids who dress up and "trick or treat" really i just saw some going to markets and coming out with one tangerine or something. people don't really dress up either, and they defiantly don't carve pumpkins. Regardless we celebrated, Max, Antonio and I carved mini green pumpkins we found at the farmers market.
 This is our mess
Jack-o-lanterns! (left is max's it is the mushroom from super-mario, and the one on the right is mine)
this is all 3 pumpkins (zucche) and me
 No hesitation man
our costumes (i pretty much lent out my closet)
she was a cereal killer and medusa
Pepper pasta, and after we had pumpkin risotto, made fabulously by Eleonora
 the whole dinner party
wine and balloons just what every party needs

max is making the propeller at the top of the hat spin with the hair dryer
the cake i made! it is an italian recipe i found with lemon and marscapone cheese for frosting (and nutella for the face) there is no food coloring anywhere in italy so i asked a bakery for some of there food coloring and the guy was so nice he gave me the bat and spiders and ghosts too as a gift for my cake!
And the dishes afterwords :(
A huge THANK YOU to Ornella and Hannah for cleaning our kitchen!
